Ares fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ayman Abdul Baqi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 7th minute, Humberto Gudesteo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belgrano's Evaristo Orlan got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saturnino Toro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebio Abalos's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After 23 minutes of play, Belgrano's Eusebio Abalos made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saturnino Toro was left in no man's land by his defense there! 27 minutes into the match, Ayman Abdul Baqi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Saturnino Toro. Ares fc's Saturnino Toro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Abalos in the 31st minute of play. Celestino Sagrario hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Evaristo Orlan made a precise shot to the right of Saturnino Toro. Ares fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. If Eusebio Abalos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Ares fc players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Belgrano were winning 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Manilan was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Ares fc booed when Belgrano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Abalos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Belgrano's Evaristo Orlan got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evaristo Orlan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Saturnino Toro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Saturnino Toro was a little too slow when Evaristo Orlan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-5. Siro Aimar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Saturnino Toro came out and tried to block the shot, but Siro Aimar slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 62nd minute. In the last second Saturnino Toro throw himself and got hold of the ball when Eusebio Abalos in the 65thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Eusebio Abalos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Saturnino Toro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Ares fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Lluis to maneuver through the defense. Eusebio Abalos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ares fc's Celestino Sagrario got a free kick in the 71st minute. Eusebio Abalos succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-7. With his leg Saturnino Toro managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Belgrano's Evaristo Orlan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Celestino Sagrario hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 82nd play minute Evaristo Orlan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Saturnino Toro. 0-9. Ares fc's Saturnino Toro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Abalos in the 87th minute of play. Evaristo Orlan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Saturnino Toro made a huge save. Eusebio Abalos succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-10 in the 91st playminute. With an all-out effort, Belgrano's Saturnino Toro threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eusebio Abalos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Belgrano played a much better game than Ares fc and deserved their victory. The Ares fc players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
