But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lázaro Barbosa couldn't finish the play. Flavio Bide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Bemabe in the 4th minute of play. Marcial Bemabe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Barbosa in the 10th minute of play forced DEPORTIVO PROMETEO's goalkeeper Alejo Hartz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Urko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Hartz having to interfere. After 13th play minutes Lázaro Barbosa shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Alejo Hartz and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, Brujas FC's Luciano Bilbo got a free kick in the 16th minute. After some careless play in the DEPORTIVO PROMETEO defense, Lázaro Barbosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alejo Hartz. The DEPORTIVO PROMETEO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alejo Hartz should have stopped the shot. Delmar Lico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alejo Hartz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Quinto in the 26th minute of the match. When Marcial Bemabe fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DEPORTIVO PROMETEO's protests and gave Marcial Bemabe a yellow card for diving instead. Marcial Bemabe hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Alejo Hartz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lázaro Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Barbosa in the 38th minute of play forced DEPORTIVO PROMETEO's goalkeeper Alejo Hartz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lázaro Barbosa took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alejo Hartz. Alejo Hartz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lázaro Barbosa to strike the kick off in the second half. DEPORTIVO PROMETEO's Alejo Hartz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Barbosa in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of Brujas FC booed when DEPORTIVO PROMETEO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Jax didn't get a good kick on the ball. DEPORTIVO PROMETEO's Alejo Hartz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Quinto in the 97th minute of play. Lázaro Barbosa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alejo Hartz came out and tried to block the shot, but Lázaro Barbosa slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 98th minute. When the final whistle sounded Brujas FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than DEPORTIVO PROMETEO.
