Nestor Gaxan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 18 minutes, Casimiro Rudolfo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scaloneta and the Brujas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, Casimiro Rudolfo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Brujas FC's goalkeeper Flavio Bide had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casimiro Rudolfo. Nestor Gaxan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Lázaro Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gualterio Castulo's late challenge caught a Brujas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gualterio Castulo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Scaloneta getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Gualterio Castulo hit a great ball. When Brujas FC's Lázaro Barbosa in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Scaloneta's goalie prevented a goal. After the first half Brujas FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Casimiro Rudolfo to strike the kick off in the second half. Flavio Bide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimiro Rudolfo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Angelino Bernal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Casimiro Rudolfo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Zeledon Iratze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nestor Gaxan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Barbosa in the 60th minute of the match.
