But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basilio Gauargi couldn't finish the play. In the 7th match minute, Douglas Haig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Natal to maneuver through the defense. Raimundo Misael's late challenge caught a Douglas Haig's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raimundo Misael helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, Leones F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Misael to maneuver through the defense. Marco Guillelmus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Rolado having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Leones F.C got a freekick which was hit by Honorio Napier. Humberto Rolado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Honorio Napier in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the game, Leones F.C's Honorio Napier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Humberto Rolado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 29 played minutes Douglas Haig got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Bilintx. Humberto Rolado made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Honorio Napier sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Leones F.C getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Raimundo Misael hit a great ball. Douglas Haig's Humberto Rolado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Douglas Haig from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Leones F.C's Raimundo Misael got a free kick in the 40th minute. Honorio Napier took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Humberto Rolado. Humberto Rolado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 58th minute Honorio Napier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Rolado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Douglas Haig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Natal to maneuver through the defense. Honorio Napier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Humberto Rolado having to make a save. In the 72nd minute, Honorio Napier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leones F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Douglas Haig's attentive Leopoldo Natal managed to snatch the ball when Alonzo Acuña made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Leones F.C's Basilio Gauargi got a free kick in the 81st minute. Ambrosio Ereinotz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Inocencio Hurko. In the 88th minute, Basilio Gauargi made a precise shot to the right of Humberto Rolado. Douglas Haig's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Napier in the 92nd minute of play forced Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Humberto Rolado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Adan Ledesma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
