Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Osvaldo Lobo got the match started through his kick off. When Osvaldo Lobo came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Rodo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Lobo couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los piedras's goalkeeper Genaro Santana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Los piedras getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Agustin Martxelin hit a great ball. Tiburcio Micael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Genaro Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genaro Santana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiburcio Micael in the 28th minute. Tiburcio Micael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Santana having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Lobo in the 32nd minute of play forced Los piedras's goalkeeper Genaro Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugenio Salvidor might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Beturian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugenio Salvidor ran back to his position shaking his head. Eugenio Salvidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute of the match Roberto Aznar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Beturian skillfully saved the ball. In the 65th minute Tiburcio Micael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los piedras's Genaro Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Lobo in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Rodo FC booed when Los piedras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Salvidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Osvaldo Lobo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Lobo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genaro Santana. Los piedras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Lobo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 88 minutes into the match, Los piedras's Eugenio Salvidor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Beturian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Los piedras's Genaro Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Micael in the 90th minute of play. Eugenio Salvidor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Beturian having to interfere.
