Alonzo Esiquio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dante Salomone. Dios Desconfederado's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dionisio Ixona hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Humberto Froila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Leon Larra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Dante Salomone successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Humberto Froilas short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Dante Salomone to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Basilio Lorien didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amado Herauso went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Humberto Froila to make the kick off. A collision led to Dios Desconfederado getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Nicasio Muc hit a great ball. 52 minutes into the game, Humberto Froila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Dante Salomone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 65th match minute, Newels old boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Sandaili to maneuver through the defense. Newels old boys's Basilio Lorien proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Newels old boys from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Newels old boys getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Erubiel Abella hit a great ball. Amado Herauso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basilio Lorien read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Newels old boys's zone, Benedicto Gaufred stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Lorien came out of the goal and Benedicto Gaufred tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cesar Sandaili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Salomone having to interfere. Guillermo Cebrian kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Dante Salomone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Froila, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
