Spectators: 7257 (Terracing: 5444, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Humberto Froila got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Dios Desconfederado's zone, Humberto Froila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Salomone came out of the goal and Humberto Froila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Newels old boys's Basilio Lorien got control of the ball when Benedicto Gaufred tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 17 played minutes Newels old boys got a freekick which was hit by Romeu da Fonseca. Dante Salomone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeu da Fonseca in the 24th minute of play. After 27 minutes, Humberto Froila made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Dios Desconfederado's Dante Salomone tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dante Salomone didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romeu da Fonseca went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 33 played minutes Newels old boys got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Sandaili. Basilio Lorien made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Benedicto Gaufred sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Cesar Sandaili managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newels old boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesar Sandaili was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Salomone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Humberto Froila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Romeu da Fonseca notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Dios Desconfederado's Dante Salomone. Dante Salomone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Newels old boys were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amado Herauso made a kick off. Romeu da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Salomone having to interfere. In the 64thth minute of the game Benedicto Gaufred who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newels old boys's Basilio Lorien was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Romeu da Fonseca lined in a short shot 0-5 behind a frustrated Dante Salomone. Dionisio Ixona hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Romeu da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Humberto Froila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Humberto Froila got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Newels old boys's Jonas Fuica got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Romeu da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Roldanillo charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Roldanillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Newels old boys's Cesar Sandaili slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Salomone. That made the score 0-7 after 98 minutes of play. When the match was over Newels old boys could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dios Desconfederado throughout the match.
