Efrain Odilon came out of the goal and Victoriano Francesco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victoriano Francesco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Efrain Odilon having to make a save. When Victoriano Francesco came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Tablada AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victoriano Francesco couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ashes FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Rosendo Silvino hit a great ball. After 40 played minutes, Tablada AFC's Hilario Benvide shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Efrain Odilon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tablada AFC reached it. Gaspar Vela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Jerold, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
