After a defensive mix-up in ★Estrella★'s zone, Leonides Ciceron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Larpe came out of the goal and Leonides Ciceron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ★Estrella★'s Luciano Larpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Tiadoro in the 37th minute of play. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind ★Estrella★'s goalkeeper Luciano Larpe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filiberto Oliverios to make the kick off. Gustavo Darien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Sanchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonides Ciceron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Eustacio Cordeal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Damian Chago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damian Chago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Larpe having to interfere. Luciano Larpe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Leonides Ciceron fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gualeguay FC's protests and gave Leonides Ciceron a yellow card for diving instead. Leonides Ciceron kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Leonides Ciceron ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luciano Larpe was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After a rather tough play, ★Estrella★'s Elpidio Ler got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Damian Chago succeeded in the game's 93rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-4. Gualeguay FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
