The tension between the Esquel and the Chau mz players grew even worse after the yellow card. Higinio Bikendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Medardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Mauro Medardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Higinio Bikendi. Mauro Medardo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. When Donato Teyo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 29 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Niceto Brais was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 30 minutes into the game, Esquel's Hector Eguerdi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niceto Brais made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Higinio Bikendi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Medardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Giro got free with Higinio Bikendi in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauro Medardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Esquel had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
