Esquel's Hector Eguerdi got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Que Lio Messi F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Hector Eguerdi came free, but Ermegildo Tipi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Aurelio Pagomari cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Higinio Bikendi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26th minute, Donato Teyo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hector Eguerdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ermegildo Tipi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermegildo Tipi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Teyo in the 29th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Hector Eguerdi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Tipi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, Que Lio Messi F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Pepillo to maneuver through the defense. Ermegildo Tipi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Esquel getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Amancio Maraman hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Aurelio Pagomari struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Higinio Bikendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Que Lio Messi F.C.. After 55 minutes of play, Esquel's Donato Teyo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ermegildo Tipi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 62nd minute, Jesus Servando sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Que Lio Messi F.C.'s Ermegildo Tipi didn't even have to move. When Jeronimo Qwinton came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Que Lio Messi F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeronimo Qwinton couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Esquel getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Israel Mannuel hit a great ball. If Aurelio Pagomari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dionisio Roldan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Higinio Bikendi. Esquel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Esquel booed when Que Lio Messi F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Ritchie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saturnino Pepillo kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Esquel's Higinio Bikendi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Pagomari in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Esquel eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
