In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nirihau's goalkeeper Samuel Abascal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nirihau's Samuel Abascal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Berart in the 26th minute of play. In the 30th minute of the match Bernabe Nardo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel Abascal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Celedonio Berart came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Medrano AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celedonio Berart couldn't finish the play. Bruno Kaxen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricardo Ordono stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernan Ganix during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Medrano AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nirihau the free kick. The referee ignored Nirihau's protests and gave Silvestre Brun a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Medrano AFC booed when Nirihau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Brun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Ordono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Samuel Abascal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nirihau were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Medrano AFC for a fine match.
