Estudiantes de La Plata's Rene Abadia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Elazar in the 52nd minute of play. Nemesio Hug came out of the goal and Benigno Fagildo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sebastian Elazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Abadia having to interfere. After 91 minutes, Pablo Hustaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estudiantes de La Plata and the Primera Junta players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pablo Hustaz hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Rene Abadia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Elazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Belo got free with Nemesio Hug in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Primera Junta fully deserved thier win.
