An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Fagildo in the 12th minute of play forced Primera Junta's goalkeeper Nemesio Hug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Primera Junta getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Benigno Asteri hit a great ball. In the 14thth minute of the game Sebastian Calvet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estudiantes de La Plata's Rene Abadia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Primera Junta's Sebastian Calvet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rene Abadia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Primera Junta's Nemesio Hug got control of the ball when Miguel Belo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Though ot was a great shot Primera Junta's keeper Nemesio Hug was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Calvet in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rene Abadia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Estudiantes de La Plata players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Primera Junta were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastian Calvet made a kick off. Sebastian Calvet struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Rene Abadia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Primera Junta. Sebastian Elazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Elazar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Rene Abadia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sebastian Calvet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de La Plata's zone, Sebastian Elazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Abadia came out of the goal and Sebastian Elazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute, Sebastian Elazar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Primera Junta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Primera Junta's Sebastian Elazar got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de La Plata's Norberto Medardo got a free kick in the 77th minute. Nunez Luke succeeded in the game's 78th minute to get real power on a long shot . Estudiantes de La Plata's Rene Abadia hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-3! Norberto Medardo hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Primera Junta's Nunez Luke shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 90th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rene Abadia but with some difficulty. Sebastian Elazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rene Abadia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Calvet in the 97th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Primera Junta walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
