Herminio Mikolas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Delmar Pagomari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herminio Mikolas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Crispo in the 23rd minute of play. With a little luck, Villafañe's Herminio Mikolas got control of the ball when Robustiano Crispo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicanor Bizen struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Hilario Bieito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villafañe. After 31 played minutes Ricardone got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Naldo. After 33 played minutes Ricardone got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Jacob. After recieving a nice pass, Villafañe's Gaspar Regis tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Hilario Bieito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Pagomari in the 37th minute of play. With his leg Herminio Mikolas managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Ricardone's Robustiano Crispo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bernardino Pelagius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Bernardino Pelagius recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Herminio Mikolas. Bernardino Pelagius showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Herminio Mikolas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robustiano Crispo, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Ricardone's Bernardino Pelagius nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Herminio Mikolas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Hilario Bieito came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Villafañe's Nicanor Bizen. But to his dismay, Nicanor Bizen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. A collision led to Ricardone getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Gaston Gudesteo hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute of the match Gaston Gudesteo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Herminio Mikolas skillfully saved the ball. Hilario Bieito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Pagomari in the 86th minute of play. Bernardino Pelagius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herminio Mikolas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Ricardone's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
