In the 5th minute, MACALLAN UTD's Luis Astigar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Angelino Haimar. Angelino Haimar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Delmar Obeko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Paz having to interfere. Herminio Paz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delmar Obeko's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. C.A. Leo Messi's Adrian Ugaitz got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luis Astigar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Angelino Haimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Luis Astigar fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MACALLAN UTD's protests and gave Luis Astigar a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 minutes of play, C.A. Leo Messi's Delmar Obeko made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herminio Paz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th minute, C.A. Leo Messi's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gustavo Heriberto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luis Astigar was the one to do the kick off. C.A. Leo Messi's Angelino Haimar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Heriberto in the 54th minute of play. After 58 played minutes MACALLAN UTD got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Bastian. In the 59th minute, Delmar Obeko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A. Leo Messi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Angelino Haimar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Heriberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Angelino Haimar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Astigar in the 65th minute of play. Gustavo Heriberto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelino Haimar having to make a save. In the 71st match minute, C.A. Leo Messi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Nesor to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Ugaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Herminio Paz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MACALLAN UTD's Gustavo Heriberto got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo Heriberto might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelino Haimar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo Heriberto ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Delmar Obeko put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Herminio Paz. The MACALLAN UTD supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching C.A. Leo Messi's performance. The match ended with a win for C.A. Leo Messi.
