Damaso Javiar made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Delmar Obeko sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes into the match, C.A. Leo Messi's goal looked a bit too open when Sixto Valente came free, but Angelino Haimar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, C.A. Leo Messi's Dante Estevez got a free kick in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Leo Messi's zone, Sixto Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelino Haimar came out of the goal and Sixto Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Alberto Natal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Piamonte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After having played for 23 minutes, Adrian Ugaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. Leo Messi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Ugaitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Delmar Obeko was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. C.A. Leo Messi's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of C.A. Leo Messi booed when Piamonte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Marino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, C.A. Leo Messi's Leo Gelacio tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Angelino Haimar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Valente, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After some careless play in the C.A. Leo Messi defense, Alberto Natal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelino Haimar. The C.A. Leo Messi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelino Haimar should have stopped the shot. When Adrian Ugaitz fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. Leo Messi's protests and gave Adrian Ugaitz a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes C.A. Leo Messi got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Ugaitz. Dante Estevez hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Sixto Valente made a precise shot to the right of Angelino Haimar. C.A. Leo Messi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3.

The wind increased when Sixto Valente made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, C.A. Leo Messi's Angelino Haimar got control of the ball when Sixto Valente tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eliseo Marino struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Angelino Haimar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piamonte. C.A. Leo Messi's Angelino Haimar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save C.A. Leo Messi from getting a goal against them. Eliseo Lorencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Angelino Haimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sixto Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 69 minutes, Igor Jerold managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piamonte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Jerold was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sixto Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseo Marino might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelino Haimar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Marino ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, C.A. Leo Messi's Angelino Haimar got control of the ball when Sixto Valente tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Igor Jerold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sixto Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sixto Valente was extremely unlucky when he, in the 87th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Sixto Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piamonte's supporters rose to their feet, but Sixto Valente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelino Haimar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Igor Jerold came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Piamonte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Jerold couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Piamonte's goalkeeper Damaso Javiar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
