Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luis Astigar started the match with the kick off. Igor Ritchie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Herminio Paz having to make a save. In a very dangerous position, a player in RIVER fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! Igor Ritchie was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 17th minute. RIVER's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Igor Ritchie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herminio Paz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. RIVER's Cosme Llope played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Astigar in the 22nd minute of play. Gustavo Heriberto charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Heriberto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th minute, Gustavo Heriberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. RIVER's Igor Ritchie was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 38th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ramon Laffitte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herminio Paz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Ritchie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Pirro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Herminio Paz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When Ramon Laffitte fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RIVER's protests and gave Ramon Laffitte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute, one of RIVER:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for RIVER. After 62 played minutes MACALLAN UTD got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Heriberto. When Ramon Laffitte came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the RIVER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramon Laffitte couldn't finish the play. Igor Ritchie might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herminio Paz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Igor Ritchie ran back to his position shaking his head. Igor Ritchie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 69 minutes, Jose Pirro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RIVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Pirro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of RIVER booed when MACALLAN UTD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Isusko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herminio Paz came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by RIVER's Igor Ritchie. But to his dismay, Igor Ritchie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Herminio Paz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Laffitte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramon Laffitte struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Herminio Paz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RIVER. Igor Ritchie scored 3-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herminio Paz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Agustin Frances charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustin Frances the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th match minute, RIVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Frances to maneuver through the defense. When Igor Ritchie came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the RIVER fans jumped to their feet.
