Gustavo Heriberto succeeded in the game's 7th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Herminio Paz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justo Panfilo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Perutxo in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herminio Paz saved MACALLAN UTD from getting behind. Aurelio Perutxo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Herminio Paz having to make a save. The supporters of Menucos booed when MACALLAN UTD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Isusko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ubaldo Bastian's late challenge caught a Menucos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ubaldo Bastian helped the player get up and apologised. After 24 played minutes MACALLAN UTD got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Bastian. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelio Perutxo in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herminio Paz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiburcio Kauldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herminio Paz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Perutxo in the 31st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelio Perutxo in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herminio Paz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute of the match Ramiro Ofelio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Herminio Paz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Herminio Paz came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Menucos's Marcelo Burni. But to his dismay, Marcelo Burni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Marcelo Burni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Herminio Paz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Menucos's Aurelio Perutxo got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luis Astigar to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Jonas Sedeni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tiburcio Kauldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Aurelio Perutxo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menucos's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Perutxo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herminio Paz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Heriberto in the 61st minute of play forced Menucos's goalkeeper Godfredo Asier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basilio Evangelista lost his temper 63 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 62nd minute, one of Menucos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Menucos. Tiburcio Kauldi charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiburcio Kauldi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd match minute, Menucos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Kauldi to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 90 minutes, Tiburcio Kauldi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menucos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiburcio Kauldi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelio Perutxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Paz having to interfere. Menucos's Godfredo Asier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Astigar in the 96th minute of play. The supporters of Menucos booed when MACALLAN UTD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Procopio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The MACALLAN UTD players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
