The supporters of Celeste y Oro booed when Butumbele was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Eguzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvaro Benet struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Jaime Ralondo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celeste y Oro. In the 17th minute, Carmelo Matai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Alvaro Benet came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Celeste y Oro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Benet couldn't finish the play. Jaime Ralondo came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Celeste y Oro's Alvaro Benet. But to his dismay, Alvaro Benet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jonathan Gaizko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laureano Millan in the 27th minute of play forced Butumbele's goalkeeper Jaime Ralondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Ralondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Benet in the 30th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Alvaro Benet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celeste y Oro's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvaro Benet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Ralondo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 37 minutes, Leon Nuñez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Celeste y Oro and the Butumbele players grew even worse after the yellow card. 40 minutes into the match, Alvaro Benet notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Butumbele's Jaime Ralondo. Jaime Ralondo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sixto Otsando was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Freddy Nazario. Alvaro Benet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jaime Ralondo having to make a save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alvaro Benet was the one to do the kick off. Laureano Millan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Jaime Ralondo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Laureano Millans short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Jaime Ralondo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 70 minutes into the match, Butumbele's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Benet came free, but Jaime Ralondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Norberto Jusepe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Butumbele's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Celeste y Oro the free kick. Jaime Ralondo was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Laureano Millan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Laureano Millan really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Alvaro Benet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Ralondo having to interfere. Alvaro Benet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddy Nazario's late challenge caught a Celeste y Oro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Silbestre helped the player get up and apologised. Celeste y Oro's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
