The supporters of Celeste y Oro booed when Butumbele was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Manuelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jonathan Gaizko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 20 minutes, Alvaro Benet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celeste y Oro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvaro Benet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Gaizko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Otsando having to interfere. After having played for 27 minutes, Roberto Manuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Butumbele's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Manuelo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaime Ralondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Benet in the 28th minute of the match. A hard shot 33 in the game by Laureano Millan from a close distance when the talented Jaime Ralondo managed to make a qualified save. Butumbele's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Benet in the 34th minute of play forced Butumbele's goalkeeper Jaime Ralondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 played minutes Alvaro Benet rounded Butumbele's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. When Alvaro Benet came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Celeste y Oro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Benet couldn't finish the play. Jaime Ralondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Benet in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonathan Gaizko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leon Nuñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Ralondo having to interfere. Norberto Jusepe charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norberto Jusepe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Butumbele getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Norberto Jusepe hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Alvaro Benet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jaime Ralondo. Butumbele's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alvaro Benet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Roberto Manuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rdth minute of the game Laureano Millan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Butumbele's Jaime Ralondo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Celeste y Oro's Sixto Otsando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Celeste y Oro from getting a goal against them. After 67 played minutes Butumbele got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Eguzki. In the 68th minute Laureano Millan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Ralondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70thth minute of the game Alvaro Benet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Butumbele's Jaime Ralondo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jonathan Gaizko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laureano Millan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Butumbele defense, Alvaro Benet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaime Ralondo. The Butumbele fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaime Ralondo should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Celeste y Oro's Leonides Serafo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Feliciano Barto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jaime Ralondo. Butumbele's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
