The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Butumbele's Jaime Ralondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionisio Danel in the 3rd minute of play. After 7 played minutes, Punta Alta F.C. -off-'s Marcelo Rudolfo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jaime Ralondo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Punta Alta F.C. -off- reached it. A hard shot 18 in the game by Roberto Manuelo from a close distance when the talented Edgard Naldo managed to make a qualified save. Punta Alta F.C. -off-'s players were relieved. Jonathan Gaizko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgard Naldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Fabricio Eguzki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Butumbele's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Punta Alta F.C. -off- the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Butumbele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Eguzki to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Punta Alta F.C. -off-'s Aquiles Piearres tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dionisio Danel struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Jaime Ralondo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Punta Alta F.C. -off-. After some careless play in the Punta Alta F.C. -off- defense, Norberto Jusepe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgard Naldo. The Punta Alta F.C. -off- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgard Naldo should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute, Siro Etxekopar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Siro Etxekopar came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Punta Alta F.C. -off- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siro Etxekopar couldn't finish the play. Edgard Naldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roberto Manuelo in the 47th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonathan Gaizko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edgard Naldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Gaizko, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Siro Etxekopar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jaime Ralondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Ralondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Danel in the 60th minute of play. When Dionisio Danel came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Punta Alta F.C. -off- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionisio Danel couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Butumbele booed when Punta Alta F.C. -off- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionisio Danel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Gaspar Qwinton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norberto Jusepe hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 91 minutes of play, Butumbele's Roberto Manuelo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Naldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Butumbele were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Punta Alta F.C. -off- for a fine match.
