After a rather tough play, Barcala's Romeo Figueroa got a free kick in the 7th minute. Luisito Araoz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jesus Koldobika read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Ovidio Lordi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Independiente FC's Honorio Abarca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Ferdinand in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Raymond in the 17th minute of play forced Barcala's goalkeeper Jesus Koldobika to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luisito Araoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dionisio Duardo's late challenge caught a Independiente FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dionisio Duardo helped the player get up and apologised. Dionisio Duardo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Mauro Raymond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Koldobika having to interfere. Mauro Raymond might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jesus Koldobika. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mauro Raymond ran back to his position shaking his head. 44 minutes into the game, Independiente FC's Luisito Araoz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jesus Koldobika made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jesus Koldobika made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Raymond in the 49th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauro Raymond was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Jesus Koldobika successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Ovidio Lordi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcala's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidio Lordi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Honorio Abarca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timoteo Esdras took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Honorio Abarca. Independiente FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Independiente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Bemabe to maneuver through the defense. Ovidio Lordi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Honorio Abarca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mauro Raymond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute of the match Daniel Bemabe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jesus Koldobika showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 84th minute, Romeo Figueroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ovidio Lordi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
