Domingos Urtzi kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in DOUGLAS HAIG's zone, Esteban Hermon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Nardo came out of the goal and Esteban Hermon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Esteban Hermon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rodolfo Nardo. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Ildefonso Galsino might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodolfo Nardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ildefonso Galsino ran back to his position shaking his head. If Domingos Urtzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Bruno Gimenez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iker Nofre was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Bruno Gimenez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Gimenez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Iker Nofre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iker Nofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Urtzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Iker Nofre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcos Jorrin went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, VILLACUBA C.A.S.V's Feliberto Arixo got a free kick in the 45th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Domingos Urtzi made the kick off in the second half. In the last second Iker Nofre throw himself and got hold of the ball when Domingos Urtzi in the 52ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The supporters of DOUGLAS HAIG booed when VILLACUBA C.A.S.V was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Raulo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute, Nemesio Raulo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domingos Urtzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Nofre having to interfere. Iker Nofre made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Bruno Gimenez sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd minute Domingos Urtzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Nofre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nemesio Raulo fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VILLACUBA C.A.S.V's protests and gave Nemesio Raulo a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes VILLACUBA C.A.S.V got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Raulo. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by VILLACUBA C.A.S.V's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cosme Corderall was slow to take the kick. During this time DOUGLAS HAIG's players had a chance to rest. Ildefonso Galsino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Nardo having to interfere. VILLACUBA C.A.S.V's Iker Nofre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save VILLACUBA C.A.S.V from getting a goal against them. If Domingos Urtzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute Marcos Jorrin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Nofre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. DOUGLAS HAIG were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
