The POTENCIA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Candido Bastiaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venancio Etxeberri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of POTENCIA FC booed when Olimpo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Bernard didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Vachon got free with Mauro Celino in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute, Sergio Gimenez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Venancio Etxeberri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saverio Nuxila kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. When Venancio Etxeberri came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the POTENCIA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Venancio Etxeberri couldn't finish the play. Saverio Nuxila's late challenge caught a POTENCIA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saverio Nuxila helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Olimpo FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Saverio Nuxila hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Olimpo FC's zone, Venancio Etxeberri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Candido Bastiaro came out of the goal and Venancio Etxeberri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Celino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Vachon in the 34th minute. Sergio Gimenez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Mauro Celino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julian Vachon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. POTENCIA FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sergio Gimenez 39 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Olimpo FC's Sergio Gimenez got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

After 52 played minutes Olimpo FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Erroman. In the 55th minute, Anastasio Hotz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Celino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Vachon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hernan Domiku placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Mauro Celino came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Olimpo FC's Julian Vachon. But to his dismay, Julian Vachon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 70th minute, Julian Vachon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olimpo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Julian Vachon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro Celino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Venancio Etxeberri was extremely unlucky when he, in the 80th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Herminio Edorta succeeded in the game's 87th minute to get real power on a long shot . Olimpo FC's Candido Bastiaro hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 3-2! After a rather tough play, POTENCIA FC's Norberto Louis got a free kick in the 90th minute. If Julian Vachon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the match, Olimpo FC's Julian Vachon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauro Celino narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
