After the first half New obanta fc were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

New obanta fc's Teodoro Urko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Edur in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, one of New obanta fc:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for New obanta fc. The referee gave Mulcahy a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ubaldo Kimetz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of New obanta fc's Teodoro Urko. 1-1. In the 85th match minute, New obanta fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Truylos to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Severino Edur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mulcahy's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Edur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Urko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Severino Edur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Urko having to interfere.
