Spectators: 5580 (Terracing: 3762, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 144) Deportivo Pelongo's Benigno Tipi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benigno Tipi in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteve Cristofol saved Naipe AFC from getting behind. Eugenio Fernanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Esteve Cristofol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pelongo's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Silban came free, but Norberto Feliz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Camilo Avellaneda fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Pelongo's protests and gave Camilo Avellaneda a yellow card for diving instead. Naipe AFC's Esteve Cristofol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Tipi in the 20th minute of play. Norberto Feliz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Lucado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 played minutes, Deportivo Pelongo's Tiburcio Jerardo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Esteve Cristofol came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Pelongo reached it. Esteve Cristofol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benigno Tipi's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After 33 played minutes Benigno Tipi rounded Naipe AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Eugenio Fernanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteve Cristofol having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pelongo's Benigno Tipi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esteve Cristofol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Deportivo Pelongo's Camilo Avellaneda got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Benigno Tipi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

A very good chance. 53 minutes into the game, Alonzo Guillerme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Naipe AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Pelongo the free kick. A collision led to Naipe AFC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Alonzo Guillerme hit a great ball. Ariel Lucado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60thth minute of the game Benigno Tipi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Naipe AFC's Esteve Cristofol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Esteve Cristofol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Tipi in the 62nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Naipe AFC's zone, Benigno Tipi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Cristofol came out of the goal and Benigno Tipi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute, Alonzo Guillerme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiburcio Jerardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Naipe AFC's goalkeeper Esteve Cristofol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Deportivo Pelongo booed when Naipe AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmiro Manni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deportivo Pelongo's Benigno Tipi got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Benigno Tipi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Esteve Cristofol. Naipe AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benigno Tipi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Camilo Avellaneda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Deportivo Pelongo had played much better football throughout.
