Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Elpidio Tolino kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd match minute, Frente a Frente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigio Stanislao to maneuver through the defense. Enzo Ihintza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Eriz in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Tolino in the 12th minute of play forced Frente a Frente FC's goalkeeper Enzo Ihintza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eulalio Eriz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enzo Ihintza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Tolino in the 15th minute of play. Gavino Felo charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gavino Felo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes Frente a Frente FC got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Felo. Eulalio Eriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frente a Frente FC's Enzo Ihintza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Eriz in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Punta lara getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Nicanor Cordera hit a great ball. The long shot by Igor Arixo in the 25th minute really tested Leonardo Palau's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Punta lara's zone, Cesar Inge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Palau came out of the goal and Cesar Inge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 28 played minutes Frente a Frente FC got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Lorenz. After recieving a nice pass, Punta lara's Fulgencio Rexino tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Elpidio Tolino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Enzo Ihintza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enzo Ihintza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Tolino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Punta lara booed when Frente a Frente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Etxahun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Igor Arixo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leonardo Palau. Punta lara's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Frente a Frente FC's Gualterio Ruisko got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute Ladislao Lorenz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Palau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gualterio Ruisko was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Gualterio Ruisko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frente a Frente FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualterio Ruisko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Punta lara fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Igor Arixo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 69 minutes into the match, Punta lara's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Ruisko came free, but Leonardo Palau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesar Inge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cesar Inge came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Frente a Frente FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Inge couldn't finish the play. Igor Arixo hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Enzo Ihintza was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Severiano Soter. 88 minutes into the game, Frente a Frente FC's Cesar Inge nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonardo Palau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 94th minute, Gaspar Aimar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicanor Cordera kicked well hit freekick during the 100th minute of the match. In the 100th minute of the match Igor Arixo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonardo Palau showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Frente a Frente FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Punta lara for a fine match.
