Alcaraz AFC's Hipolito Urki got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ballester AFC's zone, Hipolito Urki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benigno Porfirio came out of the goal and Hipolito Urki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the match, Ballester AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Jakobe came free, but Benigno Porfirio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hipolito Urki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 played minutes Ballester AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Leoiar. Paolo Jakobe was extremely unlucky when he, in the 38th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in Ballester AFC's zone, Hipolito Urki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benigno Porfirio came out of the goal and Hipolito Urki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Hipolito Urki came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Alcaraz AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hipolito Urki couldn't finish the play. If Melquiades Aragones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the game, Ballester AFC's Baltasar Rojelio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emanuel Balesio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The Alcaraz AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ballester AFC were winning 0-1.

In the 55th minute, Paolo Jakobe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Balesio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Rojelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After having played for 59 minutes, Hipolito Urki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alcaraz AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hipolito Urki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benigno Porfirio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Aragones in the 65th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Ballester AFC's Adrian Leoiar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emanuel Balesio. That made the score 0-2 after 67 minutes of play. Silvano Lehoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benigno Porfirio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Aragones, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Hipolito Urki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benigno Porfirio having to make a save. In the 86th minute, Froilan Dantae hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hipolito Urki scored 1-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benigno Porfirio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hipolito Urki's late challenge caught a Ballester AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hipolito Urki helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ballester AFC booed when Alcaraz AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Urki didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Alcaraz AFC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Ballester AFC to win.
