Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benigno Porfirio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fermin Matia's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Francisco Sarracino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Rojelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, La vecindad de Paz's Teodosio Danel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benigno Porfirio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, Baltasar Rojelio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Francisco Sarracino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Teodosio Danel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Porfirio having to interfere. If Mariano Osmundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damaso Gaur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltasar Rojelio in the 68th minute of play forced La vecindad de Paz's goalkeeper Francisco Sarracino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ballester AFC booed when La vecindad de Paz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustino Aires didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisco Sarracino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Francisco Sarracino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltasar Rojelio in the 96th minute of the match. Francisco Sarracino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Rojelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. La vecindad de Paz's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
