But to his dismay, Timoteo Raebert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Everardo Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Baladi in the 29th minute of play forced Skorpions FC's goalkeeper Jorge Mero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Gloria Canalla's Ciriaco Frederico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Ledesma in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Constantino Baladi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Gloria Canalla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantino Baladi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Arnulfo Cordero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Mero. Skorpions FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnulfo Cordero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Constantino Baladi managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Gloria Canalla's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantino Baladi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Mero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luis Ledesma stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Timoteo Raebert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Mero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luis Ledesma struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ciriaco Frederico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skorpions FC. Arnulfo Cordero hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. La Gloria Canalla's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
