Felix Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrosio Kaiet in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, one of Frontera:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Frontera. The goalkeeper, Nicanor Gizon, was totally fooled by El Boca Juniors's Lucio Emesto, who 47 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The El Boca Juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Frontera were winning 1-4.

Raul Brun scored 2-4 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicanor Gizon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Frontera. 70 minutes into the match, Frontera's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Domenec came free, but Nicanor Gizon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jorge Dubardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ambrosio Kaiet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hipolito Domenec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Nicanor Gizon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Baltasar Geofredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
