The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jorge Dubardo struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Jorge Mero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frontera. Jorge Mero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Kaiet in the 9th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Frontera's Ambrosio Kaiet slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jorge Mero. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. In the 18th minute, one of Frontera:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Frontera. When Ambrosio Kaiet came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Frontera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Kaiet couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute Luis Ledesma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Gizon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Dubardo in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jorge Mero, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 36th minute Ambrosio Kaiet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Mero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luis Ledesma to strike the kick off in the second half. If Ambrosio Kaiet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristo Shepherd's late challenge caught a Frontera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristo Shepherd helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Skorpions FC's Cristo Shepherd got a free kick in the 67th minute. Ambrosio Kaiet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jorge Mero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Skorpions FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Camilo Neto hit a great ball. Ambrosio Kaiet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Mero having to interfere. Jorge Dubardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Dubardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Mero having to interfere. The supporters of Frontera booed when Skorpions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Aguirre didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Frontera's Ambrosio Kaiet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Mero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jorge Mero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrosio Kaiet in the 86th minute of the match. Cristo Shepherd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Gizon having to interfere. The supporters of Skorpions FC booed when Frontera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Xacintu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
