Iker Filipo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Justin in the 12th minute of play. Lázaro Cresenciano hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Mauro Celipe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Argina having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Guaberto Cutberto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bonifacio Argina was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in IX Brigada fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! Iker Filipo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Justin in the 36th minute of the match. Iker Filipo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Justin, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The IX Brigada fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when IX Brigada's Freddy Rosalio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guaberto Cutberto was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Mauro Celipe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Guaberto Cutberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Benjamin Nafarroa fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sauce's protests and gave Benjamin Nafarroa a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes Sauce got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Nafarroa. After having played for 69 minutes, Mauro Celipe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sauce's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Celipe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Freddy Mederi hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Sauce's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felipe Herena in the 74th minute. Sauce's Felipe Herena was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bonifacio Argina in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Rosalio in the 78th minute of play forced Sauce's goalkeeper Iker Filipo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Harriet during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ernesto Harriet hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Ernesto Harriet was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 83rd match minute, Sauce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Harriet to maneuver through the defense. Freddy Mederi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Iker Filipo. Sauce's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sauce's zone, Freddy Rosalio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Filipo came out of the goal and Freddy Rosalio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Freddy Rosalio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eduardo Lesardo fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sauce's protests and gave Eduardo Lesardo a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The IX Brigada fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sauce had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
