The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Gerli booed when Mateoli F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Rocio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Gerli's Aureliano Baldovino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Ruben Abilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruben Abilio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Emanuel Matthew made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Mateoli F.C's Serafino Rocio got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Emanuel Matthew was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Ruben Abilio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ruben Abilio really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Emanuel Matthew stood somewhat misplaced when Ruben Abilio came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 28 minute. In the 34th minute, Filomeno Ezkerra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iker Orlan was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Mateoli F.C's Filomeno Ezkerra got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisco Laurin hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Narciso Jon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Mateoli F.C booed when Gerli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Sadurni didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Haroldo Galoer made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Mateoli F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Ezkerra to maneuver through the defense. Aureliano Baldovino struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Emanuel Matthew didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gerli. After some careless play in the Mateoli F.C defense, Aureliano Baldovino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Matthew. The Mateoli F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Matthew should have stopped the shot. Aureliano Baldovino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Narciso Jon got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Iker Orlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Galoer in the 65th minute of play. Ruben Abilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aureliano Baldovino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Emanuel Matthew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Matthew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Baldovino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rdth minute of the game Aureliano Baldovino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mateoli F.C's Emanuel Matthew was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Mateoli F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Abilio came free, but Emanuel Matthew reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateoli F.C's Emanuel Matthew played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Abilio in the 89th minute of play. Ruben Abilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aureliano Baldovino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Niceto Sadurni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gerli's supporters rose to their feet, but Niceto Sadurni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Matthew breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
