After 4 played minutes Los Halcones Ratas got a freekick which was hit by Elvio Loramendi. Club Atlético de Milán's Godofredo Pello pulled a muscle in his back after 5 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 5 played minutes Los Halcones Ratas got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Argoitz. In the 7th minute, Lino Piarres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th minute, Herminio Lon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elvio Loramendi's late challenge caught a Club Atlético de Milán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elvio Loramendi helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes Los Halcones Ratas got a freekick which was hit by Elvio Loramendi. In the 14th minute, Los Halcones Ratas's Angelino Argoitz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Mariano Rivas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Los Halcones Ratas's zone, Lino Piarres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Chuan came out of the goal and Lino Piarres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelino Argoitz in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Sancho saved Club Atlético de Milán from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Halcones Ratas's Mariano Rivas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juan Sancho. That made the score 2-0 after 29 minutes of play. Evaristo Etxatxu kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Lino Piarres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Armando Chuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Atlético de Milán's Evaristo Etxatxu got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Lino Piarres made the kick off in the second half. Club Atlético de Milán's Lino Piarres got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armando Chuan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lino Piarres in the 56th minute. After 57 minutes of play Los Halcones Ratas's Elvio Loramendi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 58th match minute, Los Halcones Ratas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio Loramendi to maneuver through the defense. Armando Chuan made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Lino Piarres sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Lino Piarres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético de Milán's supporters rose to their feet, but Lino Piarres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Chuan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lino Piarres struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Armando Chuan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético de Milán. Armando Chuan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lino Piarres in the 88th minute. Lino Piarres was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Many of Club Atlético de Milán's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Club Atlético de Milán may have spent more time on the ball, but Los Halcones Ratas were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
