Reynaldo Vermudo's late challenge caught a Vilo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reynaldo Vermudo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Atlético de Milán getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Vilo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. 45 minutes into the game, Club Atlético de Milán's Godofredo Pello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
