In the 5th match minute, Urutaú FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Licerio to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute of the match, Eulalio Acuña tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Anacleto Ledesma saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Generoso Balendin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the game, Roque Cutberto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Urutaú FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Instituto ACC the free kick. In the 11th minute, Roque Cutberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, Eulalio Acuña left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Instituto ACC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 16th minute, Instituto ACC's Eulalio Acuña dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. A collision led to Instituto ACC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Felix Aires hit a great ball. Urutaú FC's Anacleto Ledesma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Acuña in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Andres Eudoxio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute, Eulalio Acuña ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anacleto Ledesma was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 40th minute, Ermegildo Benvido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Generoso Balendin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliano Ermano having to interfere. After 44 minutes, Delmiro Afonso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Urutaú FC and the Instituto ACC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Urutaú FC got a freekick which was hit by Delmiro Afonso. Anacleto Ledesma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Acuña in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Generoso Balendin to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Urutaú FC defense, Eulalio Acuña kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anacleto Ledesma. The Urutaú FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anacleto Ledesma should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Instituto ACC booed when Urutaú FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Jakue didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eulalio Acuña kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Urutaú FC's Anacleto Ledesma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Aires in the 81st minute of play. There was no doubt that Instituto ACC were the better team. Instituto ACC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
