Romulo Oihenarte's late challenge caught a Instituto ACC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romulo Oihenarte helped the player get up and apologised. Instituto ACC's Ovidio Iigo was substituted for Felix Aires. Romulo Oihenarte kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the game, Eulalio Acuña cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Generoso Birjaio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 21st minute, Pastor Sayvion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 22 minutes of play, Instituto ACC's Eulalio Acuña made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Generoso Birjaio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Generoso Birjaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Eudoxio in the 32nd minute of the match. Eulalio Acuña struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Generoso Birjaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Instituto ACC. With a little luck, Instituto ACC's Aureliano Ermano got control of the ball when Astor Lorien tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Instituto ACC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Eulalio Acuña made the kick off in the second half. Eulalio Acuñas short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Generoso Birjaio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 62 minutes into the match, Petronila AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Acuña came free, but Generoso Birjaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Nicanor Medina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Petronila AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Instituto ACC the free kick. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle.
