Alfredo Medero started the match with the kick off. Roman Oriche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Joseph having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as River Plate's Cristo Pierres slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hermengildo Joseph. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Medero in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Froilan Miliano saved River Plate from getting behind. When Rahué's Alfredo Medero in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye River Plate's goalie prevented a goal. If Roman Oriche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rahué's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Cristo Pierres scored to the left of an out of position Hermengildo Joseph, making the score, 3-0. Froilan Miliano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Medero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Isaac Atauri came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Rahué fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Atauri couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Isaac Atauri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rahué's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaac Atauri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Froilan Miliano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pascual Txordon kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 44th minute, one of River Plate:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for River Plate. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristo Pierres to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Rahué's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arnulfo Urti who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to River Plate's Ariel Guerau getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After having played for 55 minutes, Cristo Pierres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristo Pierres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roman Oriche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Hermengildo Joseph tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Cristo Pierres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hermengildo Joseph was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roman Oriche in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermengildo Joseph prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Rahué's Aaron Cambranes got a free kick in the 67th minute. When Roman Oriche came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roman Oriche couldn't finish the play. 72 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Medero came free, but Froilan Miliano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Medero received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Froilan Miliano came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfredo Medero slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 74th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Rahué's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Pierres came free, but Hermengildo Joseph reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Ariel Guerau was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rahué the free kick. After 92 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Urti. Benedicto Erramun took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Froilan Miliano. River Plate's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. River Plate were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rahué for a fine match.
