After a rather tough play, Monasterio FC's Nicanor Oroitz got a free kick in the 26th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Maximiliano Ursino in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Niupi FC's Armando Urbasa. After 32 played minutes Monasterio FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Kusko. Gregorio Louis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Lizar in the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Monasterio FC's Eliseo Lizar got a free kick in the 35th minute. If Miguel Romelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Fernando Esdras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Niupi FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aquiles Giraldo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Monasterio FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Kusko. 57 minutes into the match, Monasterio FC's goalkeeper Enzo Buinton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aquiles Giraldo. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Aquiles Giraldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Niupi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aquiles Giraldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enzo Buinton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Lizar in the 63rd minute of play forced Niupi FC's goalkeeper Gregorio Louis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Monasterio FC defense, Aquiles Giraldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enzo Buinton. The Monasterio FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enzo Buinton should have stopped the shot. Gregorio Louis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Lizar in the 94th minute of the match. When the match was over Niupi FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Monasterio FC throughout the match.
