Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) Segundo Hondo made the kick off and thus started the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Ulizes during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Arrecifes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Ulizes to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Arrecifes's zone, Celso Calvino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Truylos came out of the goal and Celso Calvino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robustiano Pepillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aurelio Vergaray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arrecifes's Ivan Truylos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Laurin in the 20th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Celso Calvino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Calvino came free, but Ivan Truylos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Aurelio Vergaray's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivan Truylos was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 35th minute, Celso Fanuco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Vergaray came free, but Ivan Truylos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Macapillo FC's Aurelio Vergaray sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Truylos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute Aurelio Vergaray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Truylos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgardo Elodio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Hondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Vergaray came free, but Ivan Truylos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Celso Calvino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macapillo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Celso Calvino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Truylos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celso Calvino to make the kick off. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arrecifes's goalkeeper Ivan Truylos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Macapillo FC booed when Arrecifes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Fanuco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celso Calvino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ivan Truylos came out and tried to block the shot, but Celso Calvino slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 75th minute. The audience was convinced that Celso Calvino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivan Truylos was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Aurelio Vergaray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aurelio Vergaray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Truylos having to interfere. Arrecifes's Ivan Truylos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Arrecifes from getting a goal against them. Aurelio Vergaray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Segundo Hondo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgardo Elodio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Arrecifes's zone, Aurelio Vergaray stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Truylos came out of the goal and Aurelio Vergaray tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Arrecifes fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Macapillo FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
