Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Victorino Rocendo kicked off to start the match. V.D.Parque's Severino Oliviero got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When V.D.Parque's Agustin Salvator in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bolívar's goalie prevented a goal. Severino Oliviero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Celipe having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Severino Oliviero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The V.D.Parque fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bolívar's Herminio Izotz got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. V.D.Parque's Lino Gartzen got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the game, Arturo Berbiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bolívar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave V.D.Parque the free kick. After 33 played minutes, V.D.Parque's Cristian Ospin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Guillermo Celipe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in V.D.Parque reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Rocendo in the 36th minute of play forced V.D.Parque's goalkeeper Ernesto Ramone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herminio Izotz got free with Ernesto Ramone in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 38 played minutes Victorino Rocendo rounded V.D.Parque's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Tiburcio Fidele's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guillermo Celipe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Herminio Izotz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. V.D.Parque's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Victorino Rocendo scored to the left of an out of position Ernesto Ramone, making the score, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The wind increased when Lino Gartzen made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Alfonso Horado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bolívar and the V.D.Parque players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Alfonso Horado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino Oliviero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Lino Gartzen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ernesto Ramone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Rocendo in the 65th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, V.D.Parque's Agustin Salvator got a free kick in the 66th minute. Victorino Rocendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Ramone having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Herminio Izotz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolívar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herminio Izotz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bolívar's Alfonso Horado got his second yellow card of the match in the 75th minute. The referee ordered Alfonso Horado off the ground. Guillermo Celipe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lino Gartzen in the 77th minute. Herminio Izotz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute, Arnoldo Jerano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arturo Berbiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in V.D.Parque's zone, Herminio Izotz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Ramone came out of the goal and Herminio Izotz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Bolívar's Arnoldo Jerano got a free kick in the 90th minute. Guillermo Celipe made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Lino Gartzen sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bolívar fans cheered their team off the field, for while V.D.Parque had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
