Anibal Bazil kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Ismael Baraquiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Placido Quintin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lomitas's Anibal Burni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Lomitas from getting a goal against them. Anibal Burni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Quintin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24thth minute of the game Placido Quintin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lomitas's Anibal Burni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Placido Quintin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Anibal Burni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Ismael Baraquiel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anibal Burni, 1-0. Diego Baudelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Bengt-Åke Lagerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 minutes, Apolo Anaya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lomitas and the Guasayán players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Guasayán booed when Lomitas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Anaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael Baraquiel got free with Anibal Burni in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lomitas's Anibal Burni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Quintin in the 45th minute of play. Ismael Baraquiel took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anibal Burni. Anibal Burni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonides Chaime was the one to do the kick off. If Ismael Baraquiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Placido Quintin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anibal Burni having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Lomitas's Christian Lluis got a free kick in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Guasayán's Ismael Baraquiel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anibal Burni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. With a little luck, Guasayán's Bengt-Åke Lagerberg got control of the ball when Diego Baudelio tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lomitas's goalkeeper Anibal Burni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 66th match minute, Lomitas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Quintun to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute Ismael Baraquiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Burni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Baraquiel in the 69th minute of play forced Lomitas's goalkeeper Anibal Burni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
