Spectators: 7266 (Terracing: 5451, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sixto Bonifaco took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Sixto Bonifaco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute Paulino Txerran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernan Balesio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 minutes of play, Palmitas's Serafin Gumaro made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernan Balesio was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Paulino Txerran came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Palmitas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Txerran couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sixto Bonifaco in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolfo Demesio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulino Txerran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fernan Balesio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafin Gumaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Serafin Gumaro scored 2-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernan Balesio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rodolfo Demesio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sixto Bonifaco in the 21st minute of play. If Eriberto Piorno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute.
