The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ciro Botello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Feliberto Millano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Botello in the 9th minute of play. If Jeronimo Chepe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ciro Botello came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Bonifacio AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Botello couldn't finish the play. If Jeronimo Chepe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Feliberto Millano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jeronimo Chepe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Feliberto Millano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tacuarendí AFC's Feliberto Millano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Tacuarendí AFC from getting a goal against them. Melquiades Froylan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Etxahun having to interfere. Melquiades Froylan scored 1-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruperto Etxahun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bonifacio AFC's Ruperto Etxahun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severiano Ixona in the 37th minute of play. After the first half Tacuarendí AFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ciro Botello was the one to do the kick off. Melquiades Froylan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ruperto Etxahun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Melquiades Froylan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Severiano Ixona recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruperto Etxahun. Severiano Ixona showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Ixona in the 69th minute of play forced Bonifacio AFC's goalkeeper Ruperto Etxahun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Perrando was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bonifacio AFC's zone, Severiano Ixona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruperto Etxahun came out of the goal and Severiano Ixona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bonifacio AFC's goalkeeper Ruperto Etxahun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roman Venerando tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Ruperto Etxahun. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-4 in the 86th minute. Alberto Aurken kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. If Alberto Aurken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tacuarendí AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
