In the 10th minute, MV FC's Ciriaco Kaxen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lorenzo Elorri. Lorenzo Elorri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 13th minute, one of Rancagua Junior:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rancagua Junior. If Ciriaco Kaxen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 32 minutes, Ciriaco Kaxen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MV FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciriaco Kaxen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ciriaco Kaxen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Justo Goi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Rancagua Junior's goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Kaxen came free, but Lorenzo Elorri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to MV FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Mariano Lizardi hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciriaco Kaxen to make the kick off. If Ciriaco Kaxen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Cefero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Blaj having to interfere. MV FC's Ciriaco Kaxen got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Armando Cai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67thth minute of the game Ciriaco Kaxen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rancagua Junior's Lorenzo Elorri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ciriaco Kaxen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Rancagua Junior's zone, Angelino Hernando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenzo Elorri came out of the goal and Angelino Hernando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the game, MV FC's Ciriaco Kaxen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lorenzo Elorri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venancio Paublo in the 85th minute of play forced Rancagua Junior's goalkeeper Lorenzo Elorri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Ciriaco Kaxen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
