The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Isaac Gartzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Gaizkine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Jenaro in the 16th minute of the match. In the 25th minute of the match Artemio Larpe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rickard Jakobsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jesus Intxixu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Rickard Jakobsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Unión Casildense's goalkeeper Rickard Jakobsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clodoveo Argi. Jesus Intxixu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rickard Jakobsson having to interfere. If Isaac Gartzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermegildo Jenaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Cristian Gaizkine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Club Deportivo San Martin got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Millrick. Unión Casildense's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Flavio Francho in the 48th minute. After taking down the ball on Unión Casildense's corner Flavio Francho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cristian Gaizkine quite easily take care of the ball. The Club Deportivo San Martin players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Unión Casildense were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ermegildo Jenaro was the one to do the kick off. Unión Casildense's Ermegildo Jenaro got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Club Deportivo San Martin's Cristian Gaizkine got control of the ball when Isaac Gartzea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jesus Intxixu might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rickard Jakobsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jesus Intxixu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 63rd minute Jesus Intxixu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickard Jakobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Unión Casildense's Erasmo Bidun got a free kick in the 64th minute. The supporters of Unión Casildense booed when Club Deportivo San Martin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Intxixu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Gaizkine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Jenaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Demesio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unión Casildense's Rickard Jakobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clodoveo Argi in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Ermegildo Jenaro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristian Gaizkine, 0-2. 95 minutes into the match, Unión Casildense's goal looked a bit too open when Clodoveo Argi came free, but Rickard Jakobsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unión Casildense's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
