In the 5th minute Freddy Socorro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Etxeberri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Fidencio in the 6th minute of play forced Angélica's goalkeeper Jimeno Nevada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dionisio Frisco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jimeno Nevada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alonzo Fidencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Angélica's Vinicio Cruz got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Alonzo Fidencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddy Socorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Etxeberri having to interfere. When Cipriano Elizardo came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Angélica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Elizardo couldn't finish the play. Cipriano Elizardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edelmiro Etxeberri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cipriano Elizardo ran back to his position shaking his head. Dionisio Frisco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Nevada having to interfere. With a little luck, Naunauco's Edelmiro Etxeberri got control of the ball when Freddy Socorro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Elizardo to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Alonzo Fidencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimeno Nevada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dionisio Frisco took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jimeno Nevada. Jimeno Nevada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Naunauco. Jonatan Taurino stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jimeno Nevada. 0-2. Freddy Socorro took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edelmiro Etxeberri. Edelmiro Etxeberri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Alonzo Fidencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Jimeno Nevada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Mateo hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Freddy Socorro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Eduardo Emesto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Freddy Socorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dionisio Frisco came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Naunauco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionisio Frisco couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute of the match Segundo Sugar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edelmiro Etxeberri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Naunauco eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
