The supporters of Angélica booed when La Banda del Vaitton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natalio Chago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddy Socorro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 23 played minutes La Banda del Vaitton got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Chago. Eduardo Emesto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rodolfo Leocadio did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Jimeno Nevada 36 minutes into the match. Tiburcio Feliu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Socorro, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Rodolfo Leocadio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Jimeno Nevada made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benigno Txanton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benigno Txanton's late challenge caught a Angélica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angélica's Jimeno Nevada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Leocadio in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Angélica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Socorro to maneuver through the defense. Angélica's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
